  • I love sandwiches. All your food groups in an edible to-go box—what's better than that? And, in the Kissing Kitchen Stadium, only one sandwich reigns supreme... the BLT. Crispy bacon and crunchy toast with a few cool and creamy layers in-between—it's texture heaven. And the flavor! I'm not sure I know what umami means, but this is definitely what it taste likes. Chase every savory, salty bite with a big swig of ice cold soda. It’s a decadent meal—but everyone needs a little pampering now and again.

STRATEGY

Zachary is a brand strategist with 15 years of digital marketing experience. He has worked with many blue-chip brands to build national digital and social campaigns such as Patrón Tequila, Acura, Walgreen’s, and All State. He grew up on the outskirts of Baton Rouge nestled in a forest, he loves small towns, and he eats a fried catfish poboy every chance he gets.

  • On the western bank of Lake Pontchartrain, almost hidden among the Bald Cypress trees and swamp grass, lies a fish market and restaurant serving fresh-caught catfish poboys the way they’re supposed to be made - golden fried catfish fillets, mayo, lettuce, and tomato on French Bread. It comes with a pickle and fries, and always tastes better with an Abita Ale pulled from the cooler. You don’t want cheese on this sandwich, but in the beautiful come-as-you-are culture that’s pervasive across the many parishes of Louisiana’s bayou, no one’s going to stop you if you order a few slices (although you might get some looks from the peanut gallery). The fried catfish poboy, in it’s simplicity, is perfect. It’s the unofficial sandwich of Southern Louisiana - flavorful and filling - and every time I have one, I feel like I’m home again.

  • Italian and can confirm the stereotype: we’re lovers. And you can see it in the things we create. Our cars always draw stares. Our beloved scooter starred alongside Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday. And our sandwich…well, it’s a work of art. Cured meats stacked sky high: capicola, ham, mortadella with pistachios. A little lettuce for some snap. Nice thick slices of tomato. Roasted red peppers. And a schmear of mayo on both sides of the bread; a bakery-fresh Italian roll.

    Ciao bella, you look delizioso!
